Offered for sale is a highly desirable antique German kugel Christmas tree ornament manufactured during the early 1900s. The ornament is made of silver mercury glass, and it is in the grape cluster form with its original brass top and O ring. The ornament stands about 4 tall and has a max. Diameter of about 2 3/4 across the top. The overall condition of the kugel is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, or broken areas. The silver mercury color has no flaking or loss on the interior, which is tough to find on these. Many have areas of flaking which result in clear transparent areas. The lower half of the ornament looks virtually untouched with a bright glossy silver color. The top half has standard surface wear to the grape clusters in the form of rubbing and light scratches.
