Back in the day, (1950’s and 60’s) the Aluminum Specialty Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin produced these fabulous aluminum christmas trees to dazzle holiday lovers. The Aluminum Specialty Company was already successfully producing aluminum cookwear and decided christmas trees would be a great addition to their product line. They came in different sizes, from tabletop to over 7 feet. Some of the trees from this company are marketed as “Evergleam” trees on the box. The tree is complete with all of the pieces accounted for. I’m not sure how you put it together, but I’m sure that with some time and a little eggnog you can figure it out. This item is in nice vintage condition. Besides a few nicks, the center pole is still covered with foil. The stand is a bit corroded in spots, but that can be cleaned up I think, or covered with a tree skirt. The branches have some wear, but are intact. The original box is included, but it is a little faded and mashed. One corner has been repaired to make it more sturdy. Overall, this is a great mid-century item that will be a conversation piece every holiday season. Pay attention to the attached photos as they are regarded as part of the description.
