A gorgeous and very showy piece! An amazing addition to your Christmas tree or your collection. This is an exceptional example of a vintage Christmas tree top angel. This one is probably a bit older, as her clothing and wings are made ENTIRELY of foil paper and metallic foil. She is hand made. Her silver and gold gown is made of pleated and embossed foil paper. Her top and sleeves are crinkled metallic foil (like aluminum foil). Her face and hands are wax, as well as the tiny candle she holds in one hand. Lovely hand painted face and hair. The entire figure is beautifully detailed. There is no country of origin or maker on this piece, but my guess is that she is probably from Germany or some other part of Europe. This is probably not the original box, but it is included. Figure is about 9″ tall to top of head, about 11″ tall to top of wings. Dress is about 8 wide at widest point. The white wire shown in the photos of the back IS entirely removable, but was left in place for the photos. She hasn’t been out of the box in years and I wanted to be careful with her!
