The base/stem does have some wear around the holes where the branches are inserted, but all branches remain secure when put together. The branches do tend to lose tinsel each and every time it is put up or taken down and there are some strands in the poms that lay straight rather than in a curved form, but they are still in good condition overall and it is hardly noticeable once the tree is up.
