6 1/2 foot tall vintage/antique artificial aluminum Christmas tree (6/5′ silver Xmas tree) by Craft House. This tree is original and is complete with its box (that’s seen better holidays), tripod tree stand, 2 part foil covered “trunk”, 24 branches and their original paper sleeves. It was probably made in the 1960s, although the 50s are a possibility. This tree has definitely seen a few Christmases! The foil on the trunk is worn in a few spots, especially where it slides into the stand. I only found 24 holes in the trunk for the 24 branches. I can’t promise that I didn’t miss one or two but I don’t think I did. A few of the branches are slightly bent at the base, where previous owners bent them to make room for ornaments. You can see in the photos that on about ten of the branches, the tinsel stops farther up the rod by a couple of inches. I don’t know if this is by design (the tinsel does end at the same place on all of them) but I assume a little tinsel came loose and dropped off, and was repaired with a bit of transparent tape. Once the tree is assembled and those branches are spaced out, it does not detract from the tree’s shiny, kitschy beauty.
